Butterscotch crispy treats

Ingredients:

1pkg crispy rice cereal (12 oz)

3 TBSP margarine or butter

1 Pkg mini marshmallows

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup of butterscotch chips

 

Directions:

1.)           In a large sauce pan, melt butter. Add mini marshmallows to melted butter. Continuously stir butter and marshmallow mixture until marshmallows are completely melted.

2.)           Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

3.)           In a microwave safe bowl, microwave butterscotch chips in 30 second intervals until soft. Stir softened butterscotch chips into marshmallow mixture.

4.)           Add rice cereal and mix until combined.

5.)           Pour rice krispies into a greased 9X13 pan. Smash down mixture until evenly compressed in pan.

6.)           Let set until cool and Enjoy!

 

Tip: Once rice krispies are in 9X13 pan, place a sheet of parchment paper on top to keep your hands from getting sticky when smashing down the treats.
